Tom Anderson is the founder and Managing Partner of DataStrategi, LLC, a Management Consulting firm established in 2014 focused on strategic planning, business growth and operational performance for government focused contractors (GovCon).   The firm supports small to medium sized businesses seeking to evolve beyond the small business size standard thresholds into the full and open competitive environment.

Tom brings 35+ years’ experience of leadership of publicly traded and privately held organizations.  He is a recognized as an experienced leader supporting the Civilian and Defense agencies in areas of Information Systems, Health Sciences and Engineering Services.

His career includes senior leadership at SAIC, where he led the development of the business strategy for the company’s Health Services business and supported the development of SAIC’s five-year overall corporate strategy.  He served as Group President at Wyle, where he led an organization of 1,500 employees combining the capabilities of information systems, health sciences and engineering ultimately positioning the company for sale.

As president of CSC’s $1.3B Civil & Health Services, he led the daily operations of a business encompassing all Civilian Agencies, the Health Services practice, the State and Local business unit, and the Canadian operations.  The organization grew significantly under his leadership.

Prior to CSC, Tom served as a Chief Operating Officer at Raytheon Company, where he created and developed Raytheon Information Solutions, an organization focused on combining the disparate information systems offerings of the firm.

As a key leader and early employee at Federal Data Corporation, a then prominent small business government systems integrator where Tom spent 13 years with the company as it grew from a small business through the sale to the Carlyle Group and then to Northrop Grumman.  He began his career with Boeing Computer Services, serving in various data center operational roles and Program Management positions.

Tom served as a Board Member and then Public Sector Chairman of TechAmerica, a nonprofit trade organization bridging commercial industry and government supported by 400 member companies.

He holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from George Mason University and the CIO Certificate from the Federal CIO Council.  He was Chair of the GMU Technology Management Capstone Advisory Board from 2007-2011 and was Chair of the GMU MSIS Capstone Advisory Board from 2015-2017.  In 2021, Tom joined the GMU Business School Advisory Board where he and other peers assist GMU in the continuous evolution of one of the area’s finest Business Schools. In 2021, Tom joined the GMU School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council where he and other experienced executives provide relevant business and industry insights to the Dean and his team.
